Renee Auguste was born in 1966 and raised in southern California. She
was introduced to the world of art shortly after she began to walk. Renee's
mother never gave her children coloring books, but instead lavished them
with charcoals and watercolors from the early age of three. At ten years
old Renee discovered the arts of woodcarving and ceramics. By furthering
her understanding of the body in three dimensions, these skills helped
her to further her aptitude for painting.
Then at age fourteen, she received an art scholarship from the California State
University of Northridge. Through her life she has continued her art studies
and studied under such people as the well-known artist Renee Amitia.
Presently the she is focusing her work in oils, acrylics and watercolors on canvas.
Although she still enjoys creating charcoal and ink drawings. |
